 | The ETC Responsible Tourism Showcase recognizes tourism providers for their efforts and accomplishments in exercising Responsible Tourism. All of the responsible tourism applications reviewed for the showcase are evaluated on the basis of the following criteria: 1. Making positive contributions to conservation of natural and cultural heritage of areas visited that involve the local people in decisions affecting their lives. 2. Generating greater economic benefits for the community while minimizing negative economic, environmental and social impact. 3. Providing enjoyable experiences for tourists that engender respect between them and the community. |
