This position is a multi-faceted job that requires extensive organization and detail management skills, the ability to process various deadlines in a timely fashion and to balance and juggle various files at the same time. You MUST have a working knowledge of Sabre, and be adept at working with airlines, group desks and consolidators to create, maintain and amend flight itineraries. You must be well-versed in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel. You must be able to navigate around the internet in an efficient manner. In addition, you may be in communication with account contacts over the phone or via email, so a pleasant, professional (and patient) manner is absolutely required. You should have a basic knowledge of the destinations we offer and the logistics involved. Your passion for travel must filter through your work.

We are looking for someone who will be in control of the air schedules for all groups and individual travelers. This includes requesting group space or individual reservations, depositing money to hold space, addressing any deviations that passengers may have, and coordinating final ticketing/fares/seat requests etc. You will also be required to research the best fares and itineraries, so a firm understanding of airlines and their routing is key.

Understanding the big picture is also necessary. You will be working with several files in various states of completion at the same time, and knowing which one is which is a vital aspect to this job. Our company is looking for an experienced and organized applicant that can handle the combination of a high work load and customer service skills that are needed for this job. We are located in Queens just outside of Manhattan and also have a well-behaved dog in the office most days, in case allergies are an issue.

If interested, please forward a cover letter (stating your salary requirements) and your resume (attached word document).

No phone calls please.
